B. Lucky & Sons, Melbourne’s most mysterious new bar and entertainment locale, opened its doors on 9 August 2018.
Brought to you by Funlab, the masterminds behind Holey Moley Golf Club, Strike Bowling, and Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, B. Lucky & Sons is a player’s paradise, a booze lover’s dream, a mature gamer’s haven, with pawn shop prizes even Richard “Old Man” Harrison would approve of.
The ultimate ‘adult playground’, B. Lucky combines the nostalgic excitement of arcade games, with an eclectic grown-up twist.
Hidden away in a (Melbourne) Central location, B. Lucky is secretive about its looks, and only small details can be revealed. Enter through a pawn shop façade, and encounter a mish mashed den of moody dazzlement and delight. The callers and ballers will be fed and watered, finding solace amongst regal furnishings and buzzing neon. It’s East meets West. A spoonful of London and a smattering of Hong Kong.
The drinks menu is a jumble of cultures, fed through a time warp; think ale in dimpled English pint glasses, boozy bubble cups, and punch bowl cocktails served with grandma’s floral tea cups. Fancy a breakfast-esque option? Try the martini with a side of toast and raspberry jam. Satisfy your inner queen with an edible gold glitter-rimmed concoction; with chocolate, coffee and almond liqueur.
Hungry? Try a weird and wacky pizza, with toppings like crispy wonton wrappers, sausages and gravy, and potato crisps.
Winners, losers – B. Lucky won’t judge. Every day is fortune-filled at B. Lucky & Sons. Welcome one, welcome all.
